At the Emmy Awards Sunday night we got a reunion of “9 to 5” stars, Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, and Dolly Parton, who presented the Emmy for the Best Supporting Actor in a Limited Series or Movie.
They received a standing ovation, and Parton told the audience that she was wanting to do a reunion.
“Well back in 1980, in that movie, we refused to be controlled by a sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot,” Fonda said.
Fonda’s Grace & Frankie co-star Lily Tomlin then chimed in.
“And in 2017, we still refuse to be controlled by a sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot,” Tomlin said to the crowd, a clear jab at President Trump.
Fonda pivoted to the nominees by saying she was there to recognize men “who conduct themselves with the utmost integrity.”
