Televangelist Jim Bakker has been urging his followers to make monthly $85 donations to ensure they will get a good place to live in heaven.
“I’m urging people to make these regular donations so we can offer up special prayers to guarantee their homes in heaven,” the pastor said. “People need to look at this like a down payment on their heavenly mortgage.”
Bakker and his ex wife Tammy Faye were among the most flamboyant televangelists of the 1980s, until they were brought down by financial and sex scandals. Bakker went to jail, but has resumed his ministry.
“Heaven has all kinds of property, ghettos, shacks, apartments, starter homes and mansions,” Bakker said. “Send in your love offering to ensure you have a palatial mansion in heaven. You want to make sure you are in a good heavenly neighborhood.”
Anyone who sends this degenerate money needs psychiatric help!
I have no sympathy for those foolish enough to even LISTEN to Jim Bakker.
This is too funny! Always the con man, he’d sell his ass if it wasn’t so old and wrinkled.what happened to Tammy Faye and her eyelashes, I called them “camel lashes”
Tammy Faye died of cancer in 2007.
Hopefully she paid for her real estate
If you’re stupid enough to send money to Jim Bakker, you deserve to be institutionalized and lose everything you own. Jim Bakker is more then a grifter, he suckers the most gullible and insane people on the earth.
Soon enough he will cross that line again and off to prison he’ll go. This time it will be for the rest of his natural life.
He looks like he should be leering out the side door of a panel van, shaking his bag of candy…
Ha! Ha! Ha! Love your comment! You nailed it! All those people talk over one another while Jimbo is hauling his can of food around talking about Mexicans. And that crazy lady goes on and on about “kay-so” I about peed my pants laughing!
This makes me want to vomit. Do people really think they are getting ‘a good place in heaven’ by giving money to this con artist? How really really sad is that?
Don’t they take God seriously.
Wonder if I can get a lake front house? Ha! Ha! He’s forever the Con- man !
I am sickened to read that Jim Bakker has strayed so far from the truth of Scripture! He is making a farce of the true Gospel. It sounds like he has lost his mental capacity! Jim Baker you need to run to the cross of Jesus Christ and seek His forgiveness.
I am no fan of Jim Baker, nor would I ever send him money, but this has been circulating social media for 2 years and has been proven to be fake. However, let’s not give him ideas.
I sent him my money and got back a brochure with my house in heaven, its a very nice house, you guys are just jealous
I can foresee a lawsuit against him for selling property without a real estate license or proof that he has the right to sell it…
I can beat that price! I’ll sell you the same thing for only $50 a month!
This has to be a bad joke
I never met Jim, but I did meet Tammy Faye after their divorce and as she was going through the cancer. I tend not you put up with evangelists at all, but I have to give credit where credit is due. She was a lovely lady. I am honored to have met her.
I see prison didn’t teach this dumb-ass scam artist crap
I didn’t realize there was a ghetto in heaven, I a sure the Bible never mentioned this.
This is listed under “satire”. It is fake. (I could not find anything about this on Snopes)
