Right wing radio host and former MSNBC weekend anchor, Michael Savage is no fan of Robert Mueller and his investigation into Donald Trump’s presidential campaign.
Michael Savage compared Mueller to the bloodthirsty Soviet secret police chief Lavrentiy Beria.
“You know there was a secret police chief in the Soviet Union named Beria, one of the most fearful people on Earth. And he had a statement, it was ‘show me the man and I’ll show you the crime,’” said Savage. “Mueller is now the Beria of America.”
The radio host took particular exception to the FBI’s recent raid of former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort’s home:
“So he breaks in the doors of Mr. Manafort, the day after Manafort testifies by the way and cooperates with the Senate and the FBI,” he said. “The FBI uses Soviet style tactics of kicking in his door with a fake search warrant gotten from some crackpot judge. And now we’re living in the Soviet Union.”
Savage is a popular figure on the right wing radio waves. A brief foray into television courtesy of MSNBC was derailed when he told a caller on live television to “get AIDS and die.”
